Sakurai Futamigaura
A prefectural scenic spot in Genkai Quasi-National Park in northern Itoshima, called "Futamigaura of the sunset" for the beauty of the sun setting into the Genkai Sea. Beyond a white torii, about 150 m offshore, stand the sacred "Meoto-iwa" (wedded rocks) tied with a sacred rope. It is chosen as one of Japan's 100 best beaches and 100 best sunsets, and stylish cafes and restaurants line the area.
