Shikanoshima Island
A scenic island connected to the mainland, where the National Treasure gold seal "Kan no Wa no Na no Kokuo" was found, and which appears in the Man'yoshu. A drive via Uminonakamichi past historic sites such as Moko-zuka and Kin-in Park is recommended, and you can also enjoy swimming, fishing and scuba diving. It is 11 km around and 5.8 km² in area.
