Namegawa, Saitama / 国営武蔵丘陵森林公園
Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park
Japan's first national government park, built as part of the Meiji Centennial commemorative projects on 304 ha of hills spanning Namegawa and Kumagaya. Centred on woodland with ponds, wetlands and grasslands, it is home to rare plants and animals. At about 65 times the size of Tokyo Dome, it has play equipment such as "Ponpoko Mountain", Japan's largest air trampoline, and an athletic course.
