Gyoda Haniwa Workshop
A workshop in the Sakitama Kofun Group where anyone, from children to older people, can make their own haniwa with help from instructors. After 90-120 minutes of shaping, the pieces dry for about a month and are fired in the kiln at 800 degrees for about 7 hours; you collect them later or have them delivered. Terracotta clay that needs no firing can be taken home the same day. Haniwa are also on display.
