Yoshimi, Saitama / 吉見百穴
Yoshimi Hyakuana
Horizontal cave tombs made in the late to final Kofun period (late 6th to late 7th century), designated a national historic site in 1923. The representative historic site of Yoshimi, it has 219 tombs that can be seen today; each has a burial chamber and passage, and luminous moss, a natural monument, grows in some of them.
