Minamichita, Aichi / 日間賀島
Himakajima Island
Known as "the island closest to Nagoya", about 10 minutes by high-speed boat from Morozaki Port, and loved as a producer of octopus and tiger puffer. Many restaurants serve fresh seafood, and fugu is in season from October to March. You can fish from the breakwaters, and in summer swim at Sunrise Beach on the east side and Sunset Beach on the west.

From Kowa Port (10 minutes on foot from Meitetsu Kowa Station) or Morozaki Port, take the Meitetsu Kaijo Kankosen boat to Himakajima Port.
