Pottery Footpath (Tokoname)
Tokoname's ceramic industry supported Japan with teapots and bowls as well as jars, shochu bottles, earthenware pipes, bricks and tiles. On the "Pottery Footpath", chimneys, kilns and factories remain, making it a popular route to tour industrial heritage, and cafes, galleries and shops selling goods have increased. Starting from the ceramics hall 5 minutes from Tokoname Station, course A (1.6 km, about 1 hour) passes brick chimneys, kilns and a slope paved with pottery waste; course B (4 km, about 2.5 hours) includes the INAX Live Museum.
