Sumaura Sanjo Amusement Park
An amusement park on a hilltop with fine views and quirky attractions. From Sumaura-koen Station (Sanyo Railway) you ride the Sumaura Ropeway up to Hachibuse-sanjo Station, then the "Carlator", a two-seat basket-like conveyor, to the revolving observatory. From above you can see the Suma sea, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island; the revolving observatory has a retro game corner and a revolving cafe ("Cosmos") that turns once in 55 minutes, and a sightseeing lift leads to rides such as a two-seat cycle monorail.
