Shinshoji Zen Museum and Gardens
A temple whose whole precinct is a museum of Zen and gardens. The art pavilion "Kotei", a boat-shaped building wrapped entirely in wood, opened in September 2016; 20 to 30 works from a collection of 1,500 Zen calligraphies and paintings are shown in the halls without glass cases. You can also try "Shinshoji udon" and tea, and day or overnight Zen experiences at the international Zen dojo.
