Nita Pass (Unzen)
A popular Unzen spot in every season - azaleas in spring, green in summer, autumn leaves and rime ice in winter. A ropeway runs from Nita Pass to the summit of Mt. Myoken; the 11.3 km skyline road to the pass looks over the Ariake Sea and Tachibana Bay, and from the second Nita Pass viewpoint you can see Heisei Shinzan close up.
