Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum
At 11:02 a.m. on August 9, 1945, three days after Hiroshima, an atomic bomb exploded over the Urakami area of Nagasaki, and about 150,000 people were killed or injured. The museum shows the devastation, how the bomb came to be dropped and the history of nuclear weapons development, and Nagasaki's recovery to the present, sending out a message of peace for a world without nuclear weapons. It also has a library with books on the bomb and peace and a video corner, and a cafe.
