Kashiya Yokocho (Candy Alley)
An alley lined with nostalgic sweet shops. In the early Showa period more than 70 shops stood here, making and wholesaling sweets; today about 20 make and sell peppermint candy, kintaro-ame and inventive old-fashioned sweets, and adults and children alike can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere. It is one of the Ministry of the Environment's "100 Fragrant Landscapes".
