Kankyo Geijutsu no Mori (Forest of Maples)
A "forest of maples" on the slopes of Mt. Sarei, built up over about 40 years. Fresh green in spring, and over 10,000 maples coloured in autumn. In the "Fuyu Sanso" lodge, the surrounding scenery is reflected in lacquered tables, and in the forest there are short (15-minute) and long (30-minute) walking courses.
