Cape Hado
A small cape jutting out from the Higashi-Matsuura Peninsula, a scenic spot selected as one of Japan's 100 best beaches and part of Genkai Quasi-National Park. The area is a resort for hiking, fishing, camping and swimming, and for the local speciality "sazae no tsuboyaki", freshly caught turban shells are grilled in front of you. From the sea deck of the white underwater observation tower you can look over the islands of the Genkai Sea; the view at sunset is especially recommended.
