The Model House for "Wolf Children"
The old house that was the model for the home of the heroine Hana's family in Mamoru Hosoda's 2012 animated film "Wolf Children". Built in 1887, a three-storey wooden house, it looks just as in the film and daily life still goes on here. More than 10 years after the film, many people still visit this "sacred place" of the film; the main house and storehouse became registered Tangible Cultural Properties in 2024.
