Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten
A shop that makes and sells "Hangontan", the representative Toyama stomach medicine born in the Edo period. In the oldest wooden building in the city centre, it sells its own Japanese-Chinese herbal medicines and herbal teas, and specialist pharmacists give counselling. At the front of the shop an old pill-making machine is demonstrated, and anyone who wishes can try it for free.
