Fugan Suijo Line Canal Cruise
A canal cruise from Fugan Unga Kansui Park through the Nakajima Lock to the port town of Iwase, about an hour. The Nakajima Lock, a Panama-canal-style lock that adjusts the water level with two pairs of gates, is a national Important Cultural Property; you can experience its 2.5 m "water elevator". In spring the canal, one of Toyama's 70 best cherry blossom spots, lets you see the blossoms from the water.

Kansui Park to Iwase Canal Kaikan one way 2,500 yen (about 60 minutes, with a one-way tram ticket); Kansui Park to Nakajima Lock return 2,000 yen (about 70 minutes); short loop (weekends and holidays only) 700 yen (about 20 minutes).
