Inuyama, Aichi / 日本庭園 有楽苑（国宝茶室「如庵」）
Urakuen Garden (National Treasure Tea House Joan)
Home of the National Treasure tea house "Joan", built by Oda Urakusai, a great tea master born in Owari, one of the three existing National Treasure tea houses with Taian and Mittan. It was moved east of Inuyama Castle in 1972 and set in a garden recreating as far as possible the one it had in Kyoto. Once a month an interior viewing is held (by reservation). There is also the Important Cultural Property "Former Shodenin Shoin", and you can enjoy the garden while tasting seasonal Japanese sweets.
