Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology
The Toyota Group, which grew from the textile machinery industry into the automobile industry, traces its roots to the former Toyoda Boshoku head factory founded in 1911; the museum opened on that site using the historic factory buildings. It has two main parts: the Textile Machinery Pavilion, in a Taisho-era spinning factory, and the Automobile Pavilion, a 7,900 m2 hall with working machines and demonstrations by operators. Visitors from abroad praise it as showing "everything about Toyota".
