Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER (Former Nagoya TV Tower)
Built in 1954 in Hisaya-odori Park as the Nagoya TV Tower, 180 m high, Japan's first integrated broadcasting tower; it predates Tokyo Tower (1958) and the Sapporo TV Tower (1957), and is a national Important Cultural Property. It was renamed "Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER" on May 1, 2021. The indoor Sky Deck at 90 m and the outdoor Sky Balcony at 100 m offer city views by day and night, and the tower was certified a Japan Night View Heritage in 2013.
