Shirotori Garden
One of the largest Japanese gardens in the Tokai region, a pond-strolling garden themed on "a story of water": the artificial hill represents Mt. Ontake, the stream the Kiso River and the pond Ise Bay. You can enjoy seasonal scenery such as a headwater scene of waterfalls and huge rocks and autumn maples covering the gorge. At its centre is Seiu-tei, an authentic sukiya-style building made by Kyoto and Owari carpenters, where you can enjoy tea. Guided tours run every Saturday.
