Izumo, Shimane / 島根ワイナリー
Shimane Winery
A large theme park of local wine on National Route 431, about 2 km east of Izumo Taisha, opened in March 1986 using the high-quality grapes of Taisha, one of Japan's leading greenhouse-grape areas. The southern-European-style building offers wine as well as Shimane wagyu and local sweets, and over a million people visit each year.
