Daisen, Tottori / 妻木晩田遺跡（むきばんだ史跡公園）
Mukibanda Yayoi Site
Thought to be the central large settlement of a Yayoi-period "kuni" at the foot of Mt. Daisen; the site covers about 170 ha, one of the largest Yayoi sites in Japan. About one tenth has been excavated, revealing more than 450 pit dwellings, over 500 post buildings and 36 tombs including the San'in-style four-cornered mounds. You can try Yayoi-life activities such as making fire, magatama beads and stone knives, and wearing ancient clothing.
