Goto Family Residence
The house of the Goto family, Edo-period shipping merchants, at the foot of the Kyobashi bridge over the Kamo River. Its gabled roof with round tiles, fine lattices and white walls with the family crest show the wealth of the time. The interior is not open to the public; the exterior can be viewed freely.
