Kurayoshi, Tottori / 倉吉白壁土蔵群
Kurayoshi White-walled Storehouses
White-walled storehouses along the Tamagawa river, many built in the Edo and Meiji periods, keeping the look of those days. It is a nationally selected Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, with stone bridges over the river and red roof tiles on white plaster walls. Storehouses once used by sake and soy sauce makers now house a local products hall, cafes and galleries, and you can try traditional crafts.
