Koryuji Temple
The oldest temple in Yamashiro, with a quiet atmosphere. It enshrines the Crowned Maitreya Bodhisattva in Half-Lotus Position, the first object designated a National Treasure, whose figure with the right hand to the cheek and a faint smile has a mysterious beauty.
