Onomichi, Hiroshima / 因島水軍城
Innoshima Suigun Castle
Japan's only "suigun castle", displaying materials on the Murakami Kaizoku (Murakami navy), recognised as Japan Heritage, active here from the Nanboku-cho through the Sengoku period, such as armour, swords and scrolls on tactics. At Konren-ji at the foot of the castle are the gravestones of generations of the Murakami.
