Ebino, Miyazaki / えびの高原

Ebino Kogen Plateau

A plateau at 1,200 m south of Ebino, in the north of Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park on the border of Miyazaki and Kagoshima. Surrounded by mountains such as Mt. Karakuni and Mt. Koshiki, with crater lakes such as Byakushi, Rokkannon Miike and Fudo ponds, it is a popular trekking area. Nokaido (a natural monument) and Miyama-kirishima azaleas bloom from spring to summer; in autumn there are pampas grass and autumn leaves, and in winter you may even see rime ice.
