Kirishima Onsen Village (Maruo)
The general name for the hot springs dotted southwest of the Kirishima mountains: nine hot springs, large and small, all between 600 and 850 m, with a variety of spring types. Nearby are the forest therapy road, Maruo Falls, Nunobiki Falls, Senjojiki and a rock bath said to be the oldest in Kirishima, and many inns and hotels make it a base for sightseeing in Kirishima; the autumn leaves are also beautiful.
