Ibusuki, Kagoshima / 長崎鼻
Cape Nagasakibana
The cape at the southern tip of the Satsuma Peninsula, said in legend to be where Urashima Taro set off for the Dragon Palace, and also called "Ryugu-bana"; sea turtles lay eggs here in summer. The white Satsuma Nagasakibana Lighthouse, the spray of the waves, the blue sea and sky, graceful Mt. Kaimon and the distant outlines of Yakushima and the Mishima islands make up the view, in Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park.
