Beppu Ropeway
One of the largest ropeways in Kyushu, carrying 101 people to the top of Mt. Tsurumi (1,375 m) in Aso-Kuju National Park in 10 minutes. From the summit you can see the town of Beppu, Beppu Bay and the Kuju mountains; cherry blossoms and Miyama-kirishima azaleas in spring, a cool retreat in summer, autumn leaves in autumn and rime ice in winter.
