Beppu, Oita / 神楽女湖
Lake Kagurame
A lake about 1 km around, toward Mt. Tsurumi from Beppu Station and linked to Lake Shidaka by a path. In season (early June to early July) it is coloured by 300,000 irises (15,000 plants) of 80 kinds, drawing many visitors from inside and outside the prefecture.
