Asuke Old Townscape
Old houses remain from the days when Asuke prospered as a post town: tsumairi and hirairi houses, white-walled storehouses, lattice doors and black board walls, and the "Manrin Koji" lane lined with storehouses. There are shops such as a cafe and gallery in a converted storehouse and a long-established blacksmith from the late Edo period with a live cafe.
