Chizu, Tottori / 芦津渓
Ashizu Gorge
A gorge of primeval forest in Chizu, a town on the border with Okayama, where you can camp and fish for yamame trout. Full of nature and good for hiking, the whole gorge turns colour in autumn. Chizu was certified as a Forest Therapy Base, the fourth in the Chugoku region, and you can walk among varied scenery such as the huge rock "Eboshi-iwa", many waterfalls including the "Mitaki" falls, and the rapids called "Azuki-korogashi".
