Yanase Takashi Memorial Hall Anpanman Museum
Opened in July 1996, a memorial hall to the cartoonist Yanase Takashi from Kahoku, in the hometown of Anpanman's creator. It shows original picture-book art and paintings of Anpanman in the "Yanase Takashi Gallery" and recreates Anpanman's world in dioramas in "Anpanman World". Surrounded by nature, it can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. Since March 29, 2025, entry must be booked.

Yanase Takashi Memorial Hall common ticket (Anpanman Museum and the Poetry and Fairy Tale Picture Book Museum): individuals adults 1,200 yen, junior high and high school 500 yen, age 3 to elementary 300 yen; groups 1,080 / 450 / 270 yen; annual pass 2,300 / 900 / 500 yen; half price for holders of disability certificates and one carer; half the individual price for Kami residents.

By car about 35 minutes from Nankoku IC (Kochi Expressway) or about 30 minutes from Kochi Ryoma Airport; by JR Shikoku bus from JR Tosa-Yamada Station (about 25 minutes) to Birafu, then 5 minutes on foot.
