Tosa Shrine (Shinane-sama)
As the Tosa Ichinomiya, the first shrine of Tosa, it has long been a spiritual home for the people of Tosa. The present buildings, rebuilt by Chosokabe Motochika, are an Important Cultural Property in the rare "iri-tombo" (dragonfly) style. The grounds cover about 10,000 tsubo, with a large shrine standing quietly at the end of a 300 m approach. It was a filming location for the 2010 NHK drama "Ryomaden".

By car about 10 minutes from Kochi IC (Kochi Expressway); 20 minutes on foot from Ikku Station (JR Dosan Line); by bus from JR Kochi Station (about 30 minutes) to Ikku Jinja-mae, then 5 minutes on foot.
