UFO Line
A mountain driving road of about 27 km linking the peaks of the Shikoku mountains, originally called the "Yuho Line". After a UFO appeared in a photo taken by a climber on the road and was widely reported in the local paper, it became known as the "UFO Line". Running along ridges at 1,300-1,700 m, it is especially worth seeing for akebono azaleas in spring and autumn leaves, and on clear days you can see as far as the Pacific.
