Ino, Kochi / にこ淵
Nikobuchi Pool
A mysterious blue waterfall pool on a tributary of the Niyodo River, which spread the phrase "Niyodo Blue" across Japan. Its blue changes from emerald green to deep cobalt with the sunlight, season, weather and water level. Legend says a great serpent, the incarnation of the water god, lives here, and local people have long treated it as a sacred place not to be approached; visit quietly, without entering the water or eating.
