Opening hours

Float hall: Apr-Sep 9:00-19:00 (last entry 18:30); Oct-Mar 9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30). Closes at 17:00 on Aug 13 and 15:00 on Dec 31. During the festival (Aug 4-8) the hall is open 9:00-17:00.

Admission

Float hall: adults 800 yen, high school 500 yen, elementary and junior high 300 yen. Set ticket with the art gallery: 1,000 / 500 / 300 yen. 10% off for groups of 20+, Resort Shirakami train passengers, JAF members (up to 5) and disability-certificate holders (one carer free for each person needing help). No senior discount.

Getting there

About 5 min on foot from JR Goshogawara Station (about 120 min from Aomori or 45 min from Hirosaki on the JR Gono Line). By car about 40 min from Aomori or Hirosaki, 10 min from Goshogawara-Kita IC. Reservation-only shared taxi from Aomori Airport, about 45 min.

Parking

Paid car park on the north side (about 20 cars, 6 large vehicles): 200 yen for the first hour (large 1,000), 100 yen per extra 30 min (500). Free if you visit the float hall or gallery, or shop or eat inside (show your ticket or receipt when leaving). Use nearby car parks when full.
