Ohama Beach (Hiwasa)

"The home of the loggerhead turtle": a beautiful sandy beach about 500 m from north to south, with little environmental change and ideal for sea turtles, which come ashore to lay eggs every year from May to August. It was selected as one of Japan's 100 best beaches in 1996 and is a national natural monument (1967).
