Nomizo Falls and Kameiwa Cave (Shimizu Keiryu Hiroba)
A riverside park on the upper Sasa River in the interior of the Boso Peninsula, with fresh green, fireflies at their best in late June, and some of the latest autumn colours on Honshu. Light shining through the cave reflects on the water to form a heart shape, which became a talking point on social media; the clearest heart is said to appear early in the morning (from about 6:30, for about an hour) around the spring and autumn equinoxes. The cave was made artificially in the Edo period for rice farming.
