Moriya Beach (Watarijima)
A beach chosen as one of Japan's 100 best beaches and 88 best swimming beaches. Watarijima is a small island with a red torii about 170 m offshore; about 20 times a year at low tide, a sandbar links it to the beach. The white sand and cobalt-blue sea are so beautiful it is called "the Okinawa of Kanto". The swimming season is mid-July to late August.
