Sakura, Chiba / 国立歴史民俗博物館
National Museum of Japanese History
Known as "Rekihaku", a museum that researches and exhibits Japanese history and culture comprehensively. Founded as a research institution in 1981, it opened to the public in 1983. Using real materials, precise replicas and scholarly reconstructed models, it presents history from prehistory to the present and the folk culture of the archipelago. The "Garden of Plants in Daily Life" is also good for a stroll.
