Yachiyo, Chiba / 村上緑地公園
Murakami Ryokuchi Park
A park in lush woodland about 10 minutes by car from Keisei Katsutadai Station, with a play area with wooden equipment and slides and a lawn, loved by locals for forest bathing. It is known for cherry blossoms in spring, when about 200 Somei-Yoshino trees colour the hill pink from late March to early April. In autumn many red spider lilies bloom among the trees and cover the gentle slopes; they are best from mid-September to early October, when the "Yachiyo Higanbana Festival" is held.

By car: from Route 16 turn towards Murakami Danchi at the Murakami Danchi junction, turn left at the 4th traffic light and it is on the right after about 1.3 km. About 18 minutes on foot from Murakami Station (Toyo Rapid Railway); or Toyo bus bound for Murakami Danchi from Toyo-Katsutadai Station (Toyo Rapid Railway) or Katsutadai Station (Keisei Line) to Murakami Danchi Daiichi, right by the stop.
