Nakayama Chestnut Center
A speciality centre selling products made with Nakayama's local chestnuts, surrounded by nature; the aroma of chestnuts roasting at the shop front fills the air. Inside are manju, cakes and candied chestnuts, and the chestnut "shibukawa-ni" (simmered in their inner skins) is especially popular. The next-door produce market sells fresh vegetables and home-made dishes from local residents.
