Naegi Castle Ruins
A mountain castle (National Historic Site) built in Daiei 6 (1526) by the Toyama clan, whose stone walls make use of huge natural rocks, with six different masonry techniques. The observatory on the keep site gives a 360-degree view of Mt. Ena, the Kiso River and the city; it was chosen as one of the "Continued Top 100 Japanese Castles" in 2017.
