Keino Matsubara Beach
White sand and a forest of about 50,000 pine trees stretching about 2.5 km along the west coast of Awaji Island, a location for films and period dramas. The sunset over the Seto Inland Sea is chosen as one of Japan's 100 best sunsets, and the "Propose Kaido" displays carved tiles, a speciality of Minamiawaji, one of Japan's leading tile-producing areas.
