Karato Market
A popular market in Shimonoseki, famous for fugu, where tourists can shop too. Its highlight is the stall event "Ikiiki Bakangai", held every weekend (Friday to Sunday) and on holidays, with nigiri sushi, seafood bowls, fresh fried food and fugu soup. On fine days you can have lunch looking out over the Kanmon Straits.
