Shozu Cherry Tree
An old Azuma-higan cherry tree standing alone in the Kaizu cemetery about 1 km north of the Osaki avenue entrance, said to be over 300 years old and praised in Mizukami Tsutomu's novel "Sakuramori". It is also called "Mikaeri no Sakura" (the look-back cherry) because the Maeda lord of Kaga admired it many times on his way to Kyoto, and it reaches full bloom a little before the Somei-Yoshino of Kaizu Osaki.
