An open-air museum where buildings from across Hokkaido, built from the Meiji era to the early Showa era, have been moved and restored on 54.2 hectares, opened in 1983.

Admission

Adults, university and high school students 1,000 yen (800 yen for Hokkaido residents and groups of 10+). Free for junior high and under, people 65+, and people with a disability certificate (app accepted). High school students are free on Saturdays and some holidays. Combined ticket with the Hokkaido Museum: 1,400 yen.

Getting there

From JR Shin-Sapporo or Shin-Sapporo subway station, take the JR Hokkaido Bus bound for Kaitaku-no-Mura from stop 10 (north lane) of the Shin-Sapporo bus terminal, about 20 min to the last stop.
